Video Poker Variations
Aces and Faces Video Poker Rules
Expect some extra high payouts when playing the video poker game of Aces and Faces Power Poker. As opposed to the standard game of Aces and Faces where your payout is based on having 'four of a kind' cards that consist of Aces or Face Cards - (Kings, Queens and Jacks), in the power edition you play four identical hands of cards.
As you begin each game the first hand is the only hand shown to you, while the other three hands remain face down. When you choose a card to be held, the identical card is revealed in the other three hands. If you choose to un-hold a card the three identical cards are turned face down. When you have selected the cards you want to keep, hit the draw button, then you will be dealt new cards in place of the cards that you did not hold. The other hands will then be revealed.
Your likelihood of being a winner at Aces and Faces Power Poker can all depend on your level of understanding of the game and the strategy you adopt to yield you the best payout results. It is cautioned that you understand the pay tables on each machine and the game you choose to play. The winning hands will have a payout according to the amount of coins bet and their value.
When the game is complete the hand value total of the four hands is calculated and winnings are added to your credits. You will have the option to double or collect your winnings on a winning hand. A Royal Flush is the highest hand you can get in Aces and Faces Power Poker and you can win up to a maximum of 4000 coins on a 5 coin bet.
Pickem Video Poker Rules
Pick a Pair Poker 'aka' Pick 'em Poker are two variations of the game you will be looking for when you want to play a version of poker a little more simplified where the player has two options instead of numerous moves and choices that are in normal video poker.
Rules for Pick 'em Poker are somewhat simple, and you can depend on games being played by the following: The game is played with a single 52-card deck where you make your initial bet at the forefront - you are given two cards then two additional cards, make a decision and choose one card that will be added to the first two cards. Then out of the remainder of the 48 cards you are given two more cards which is your complete 5 card stud hand. The value of your hand is what your payout is based upon.
The actual strategy of course will vary when playing Pick 'em Poker but having a strategic mindset will definitely assist you in playing a skilled game. Look up both possible hands and play the higher hand on the list. It all comes down to the probability of cards coming up during your play?for instance if your fixed cards were 4 of hearts and 7 of hearts and your choice of your other two cards are between say an 8 of hearts or 4 of clubs - ask yourself 'what are the odds of turning over two more hearts' to have a straight, well you are right probably slim, so opt for the sure pair with the two 4's. Going for the low pair would be the better play and would ensure some sort of payout at the bare minimum.
