Play Pai Gow Poker
Pai Gow Poker is a popular casino game that originates from the Chinese game of Domino. The game is no longer played with tiles but cards and can accommodate up to 7 players at a table.
The game begins with a deck of 52 cards plus one Joker. The Joker is the only wild card in the deck and can only be used as either an Ace or to complete a straight, flush or straight flush.
This is a game where you are strictly playing against the dealer.
Before the players receive their card each one must place a wager. Once everyone has laid their bets the dealer gives each player 7 cards face down. The players must then divide their 7 card hand into 2 hands. One hand of 5 cards and the other of 2 cards. The value of the 5 card hand is the same as in poker with one exception. Ace-2-3-4-5 is the second highest straight falling in between a straight of Ace-K-Q-J-10 and a K-Q-J-10_9. The highest 5 card hand in Pai Gow Poker is 5 Aces.
In the case of the 2 card hand the highest hand being a pair which beats any 2 unmatched cards.
Once all the players have sorted out their 5 card and 2 card hands they are placed face down on the poker table.
Now the dealer must show his 7 cards and create two hands in the same way as the players. One hand of 5 cards and one hand of 2.
Next all the players' cards are exposed to show each players 2 hands. The result between the dealer and each player is comparing the dealers 5 card hand to the players 5 card hand then the dealers 2 card hand and the players 2 card hand.
If the player wins both hands the dealer will pay out the amount bet by the player.
If the dealer wins one of the hands and the player wins the other then no money is exchanged.
If the dealer wins both hands the dealer wins the players stake.
If either of the hands is tied the dealer automatically wins the hand.
