Play Blackjack Online
Pontoon Blackjack is a British variation of the typical blackjack casino game. This form of blackjack has been growing in popularity in the last few years due to the increase of online gambling. Pontoon is played with a standard 52 card deck and the value of the cards remains the same as the standard blackjack variation.
The game begins with each player being dealt 2 cards face up while the dealers cards are face down. Each player must then try to achieve a card value of 21 or as close to 21 as they can get without going over.
Pontoon Blackjack hands are ranked as follows:
Ace and any 10 point card
Any 5 cards that total 21 or below
21 or less achieved with 4 cards or less
Once the casino blackjack players have received their card the dealer will check to see whether or not he is holding a pontoon. (Ace + any 10 or Face card) If the dealer is holding a Pontoon or 21 he will show his cards and collect all wagers on the table. If the dealer is not holding a blackjack then the casino game will continue.
The following rules apply for Pontoon Blackjack:
Casino players can stand on any 5 card hand or stand on any hand totaling 15 or more.
Blackjack players may hit at anytime including when they are doubling. Doubling is only allowed on 2 - 4 cards but can only be done once per hand.
Players may split 2 cards of equal value (pair) and may re-split one more time only. Once a player splits the 1st card dealt shall be automatic and if the hand busts the player loses immediately.
Blackjack dealers may only hold on 17 or more.
Once the dealer has taken his cards and does not bust he/she compares them to each player's cards and pays the winning pontoons.
Pontoon is very similar to traditional blackjack, however there are some variations in the rules and it is recommended that you understand some of the key factors before playing casino pontoon.
Triple Shot Blackjack
The game of blackjack is interesting enough in itself but a new form of blackjack has become popular in the online gambling casinos. Triple Shot Blackjack is a unique variation of the traditional blackjack game with a twist. If you are a fan of poker and war then this deviant blackjack game might be just your forte.
At the beginning of Triple Shot Blackjack the dealer and a player is dealt one card each. The one with the highest card value wins. This is where the War part comes in. Next level of play would be the blackjack part of the game. The player's original card and the dealer's card remain the same and each one receives an additional card and the game continues with standard blackjack rules with a few exceptions! A player cannot proceed to the blackjack stage of the game if his/her card has tied the dealer's card.
A player will win the blackjack portion of the game if he/she reaches 6 cards in the hand totaling 21. If the round of blackjack is completed before six cards then the game proceeds to the poker stage. The poker stage is played according to standard 6 card stud rules. A total of six cards maximum are dealt both the players and the dealer. Poker wagering progresses with each round. Each player has the choice to play 2/3 levels of the game. War/blackjack, war/poker or blackjack/poker instead of the standard war/blackjack/poker.
