The objective of Baccarat is quite basic. A player must draw a two or three card hand that totals closer to 9 than the bankers hand.

In Baccarat the 10, J, K, Q count as 0 and the Ace is worth 1. All other cards are worth their face value.

If your cards total more than 10 you would drop the 10.

Ex: if you had a 9 and 6 that would equal 15 (drop the 10) your hand is 5

Unlike Blackjack there is no "Bust" hand in Baccarat.

The game begins with the banker and the player each drawing 2 cards.

If the banker or player draws an 8 or 9 they must automatically stand.

If a player draws 6 or 7 the player or his/her total is 7 the player would stand.

If a player stands on the 6 or7 the banker hits on a total of 5 or less.

If a player has a total of 5 less he/she would automatically hit and the banker would give him/her a 3rd card.

If a player draws a third card then the dealer would draw a third card only upon the following:

If the banker's hand total was 0, 1, 2

If the banker's hand totaled 3 the banker would draw only if the players 3rd card was 1, 2, 3,4,5,6,7,9,0 (but not on an 8)

If the bankers hand total is 4 the banker would draw if the players 3rd was 2,3,4,5,6,7

If the banker's hand total is a 5 the banker would draw if the players 3rd were 4,5,6,7

If the banker's hand total is 6 the banker would draw if the players 3rd was a 6, 7

If the banker's hand total is 7 the banker would stand.

After the final cards are dealt the winner is decided by the total closest to 9
