Casino Poker Strategies
The basic strategy of Caribbean stud poker is the simplest of all casino poker games. Playing against the dealer means you can't replace any of your cards so your decisions must be based on your dealt cards and the dealers 1 face up card.
Basic strategy dictates that if you are holding a pair or better you should definitely call. Remember the dealer must qualify with Ace, King or better in order to play. If the dealer doesn't manage to qualify the player will win even money on the original ante even with a lowly pair of twos.
If you are holding an Ace and King you should call too. If you are holding a card that matches the dealers face up card you should also call. This is because the chances are excellent that you will beat the dealer with a high card.
If you are not holding any of the above combinations that is highly suggested that you fold. Caribbean stud poker is one of the most popular casino card games and the odds of winning are better than the table games.
